Container Loading Simulator & Capacity Matrix
Simulate carton stuffing into 20' GP, 40' GP, 40' HQ, and 45' HQ ISO ocean shipping containers. Incorporates realistic packing efficiency — 85% for floor-loaded cartons and 78% for palletized cargo — and checks container max weight payload limits.

ISO Container Loading Simulator
Simulate carton packing capacity into 20ft, 40ft, 40HQ, and 45HQ standard shipping containers.
Why Theoretical CBM Differs From Real Container Loadability
Many shipping calculators simply divide container volume by carton volume (e.g. 76.2 m³ ÷ 0.08 m³ = 952 cartons). In real-world port operations, this theoretical calculation is unrealistic because:
1. Geometric Edge Loss
Carton dimensions rarely divide evenly into container length (5.89m / 12.03m), width (2.35m), and height (2.39m / 2.69m). Leftover voids cannot fit whole cartons.
2. Door Header Clearances
The container door header is lower than interior ceiling (2.58m door opening on a 2.69m 40HQ). Workers cannot stack flush against rear doors without blocking latches.
3. Palletization & Dunnage
If goods are loaded on standard wooden pallets (1200×1000mm or 1200×800mm EUR), pallet tare height and gaps reduce cubic utilization down to ~72–78%.
